Potomac Speedway is gearing up for the Annual Mike Wathen Memorial for The Coors Light Street Stocks on June 19, 2009. Also on the schedule are The Carruth & Son Concrete Late Models,Big Dog Paradise Hobbystocks, Marshall & Associates Modifieds and The Performance Auto Works Hornets.

40 Lap $2000 to win Steel Block Bandits Late Model Show
The Cline Construction Steel Block Bandits Series will invade Potomac Speedway on Friday May 29,2009 for a 40 lap $2000, $150 to start feature event. Series Promoter Danny Wilson had a great turnout for the opening event at Natural Bridge Speedway and hopes to continue the success of his series at Potomac Speedway. Joining the Bandits will be the Crate Late Models, Coors Light Street Stocks, Marshall & Associates Modifieds and The Performance Auto Works Hornets. There also will be an autograph session at intermission for the Crate Late Models, Modifieds and Hornets.

Potomac Speedway and Pilkertons Service Center will host there annual Kids Bike Races on Friday Night May 15th for all children ages 3 to 12. Pilkertons Service Center is located at the corner of Rt 234 in Clements. Stop by a see Jeffrey for your automotive needs and fuel. The children will be broken down by age groups to compete. All children must register at the front ticket office on Friday Night. All children participating in the Kids Bike Race will receive a trophie Courtesy of “ Pilkertons Service Center”.
Monster Truck Madness & Hollywood Stunt Shows
Potomac Speedway & KSR Motorsports is set to host there Monster Truck Madness & Hollywood Stunt Show on Saturday May 16th and Sunday May 17th. Gates will open at 5pm on Saturday with the show starting at 7:30 and on Sunday gates will open at noon with the show getting underway at 2:30. ARCH Night & Autograph Night Scheduled For Friday April 17
Potomac Speedway welcomes ARCH (The Auto Racing Club of Hagerstown) on Friday Night April 17,2009. Potomac Speedway, Budds Creek Md will host a 2 day Monster Truck Show on Saturday May 16 and Sunday May 17. Advance Tickets can be purchased by contacting the speedway office at 301-481-8855 . Potomac Speedway Promoter Greg Gunter has decided to add another Three State Flyers Shootout on the schedule for Friday Night July 24. This event also paying $3000 to win along with Saturday July 25th show being $3000 to win, making it possible for a $6000 to win weekend event. Promoter Greg Gunter has added to the pot if a driver can win both Friday & Saturdays Super Late Model show there is an added $1000.00 bonus. Making it possible for one driver to pick up a cool $7000.00 for the weekend.
Mid-Atlantic Championship Series Add Gunter’s Potomac to USA 100® Weekend
Indiana, PA (February 15, 2009) The Mid-Atlantic Championship Series is pleased to announce yet another event to their 2009 season, on Friday, August 7, at Greg Gunter’s Potomac Speedway, Budds Creek, MD for the Budweiser Bobby Allen Memorial. This event will front the $11,000 to-win, Ernie Shelton’s 30th Annual USA 100® at Bill Sawyer’s Virginia Motor Speedway, Jamaica, VA. Potomac ’s Bobby Allen Memorial will pay $5,000 to-win and $400 to start with the purse offering of $30,000. All drivers attempting to qualify and failing to make the A Main will receive $100.00
The Budweiser Bobby Allen Memorial will be a full MACS program featuring the AlturnaMATS® Time Trails, Heats, the Sunoco Race Fuels 1st B Main presented by Bazell Oil, as well as the Keizer Aluminum Wheels 2nd B Main presented by Big Shot Performance.

Transponder Scoring System New in 2009
Potomac Speedway Promoter, Greg Gunter has has been hard at work updating the Potomac Speedway Facility for the 2009 racing season. Among his many improvements to take place will be The Transponder Scoring System new in 09.The Transponders will be mandatory for The Super Late Models, Late Models, and Street Stocks, all remaining classes will be added hopefully by mid season.
Transponders will cost $250.00 which includes the Transponder, Charger and Pouch.This system is compatible with Winchester and Hagerstown Speedway's. They can be purchased by a rent to own option or rented on a weekly basis.
