Potomac Moves to Saturday Racing
As Potomac Speedway has long been known for its traditional Friday night racing, officials felt it was important to carefully re-evaluate this long-standing schedule. In recent years, increasing traffic challenges throughout the DMV area have made Friday travel more difficult for many of our racers, teams, and fans. After listening to feedback and considering the overall experience we strive to provide, the staff conducted a thorough review of our weekly operations and event timing.
Ultimately, officials concluded that transitioning to Saturday night racing would better accommodate everyone who wants to join us. This change aims to reduce travel stress, open the door for greater participation, and create a more enjoyable race-night atmosphere. By moving to Saturday nights, we hope to offer a smoother, more accessible, and more comfortable experience for our entire racing community.
We appreciate your support and understanding as we work to make each season the best it can be at Potomac Speedway. Look for our full 2026 schedule to be released soon, as our team is putting the final touches on an exciting lineup of Saturday night racing, special events, and fan favorites for the year ahead.
